Solar System Unit

I had another great day today working on our solar system unit with my writing partner at the Space Science Lab in Berkeley. It is always such a pleasure to work with Ruth. We solved some problems we were having with the whole size of planets being too diverse. So, we are on our way.

We also took a look at a new product that was sent to me by the fellow over at
www.justusteachers.com. He makes teacher fonts! I met him at NCTM in St. Louis in April. I bought his math fonts and told him he should think about making planets and moons as fonts. That way, when teachers are creating worksheets, etc. they can insert planets and moons very easily. Well, he did it and the results are very good. The product isn't available yet. He is still creating moons in the solar system. When it is available, I recommend you check it out. Teachers should definitely check out his math fonts. There are all kinds of graphics available as fonts. Pattern blocks, bean sticks, dice, dominoes, etc. Check it out.

The tattoo is healing nicely. I still love it.
