Short term goals: 1. Workout 3 days a week at Curves. No excuses for time! That will be easy. I do that just about all the time. But, school is starting and I have to make it my priority. 2. Twice a week I will get on the strider and work up to 10 minutes. This is harder for me. It kills me when I am on it. I will just conquer it. 3. Make it past the late night sweet attack and eat sugarless jello. 4. Take it one day at a time and know that a slip-up is not the end of the work but just that, a slip-up, and get back to the work at hand.
Long term goals: 1. Loss 20 pounds or 1 dress size. Minimum! 2. Keep a balance of good carbs and protein going and leave the white carbs (bread, potatoes, sugar, rice, pasta) behind. If I can do this I can get the 20 pounds off. I am going to try to balance my carbs this time and not be quite as drastic as I was with the Atkins diet.
So, Katie, I am in. Today I had cereal for breakfast, only because there were no low carb bars in the house. That is what I usually have for breakfast. So, about 30 carbs for breakfast. Turned down Cinnamon rolls for brunch, yeah me. Lunch, tuna with one cracker, about 10 carbs, and dinner will be meatloaf with very few bread crumbs, just enough to hold it together and broccoli, steamed. Jello tonight and perhaps 5 carbs worth of dry roasted peanuts. Not too bad for today. I did not get to Curves due to a major traffic incident by my house. I literally couldn't get out of town. But, Maria came to my house and we worked for about 6 hours cleaning out junk (I am a piler). We decided to go tomorrow, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. It still works. Total carbs for today I would say are around 60 to 70. Not too bad. And, I am not hungry right now. Dinner in about an hour.
Thanks, Katie, for the inspiration.

You are so welcome!!! Great job on Day 1 .... on to Day 2.
My dinner was a bust last night .... the salmon was bad, but I didn't know it until I cooked it. And then the asparagus was bad too .... again, didn't know it until I cooked it.
So I ended up having a protein shake and some of Brian's peas. Pretty good save.
I decided to not lift weights this morning though ... I may have stretched out the tattoo on Sunday and Monday's workouts, so I just walked for 50 minutes instead.
