Relay for Life

I did it. I raised $300.00 for the Relay For Life in Martinez, CA. We walked Saturday night, through a path of luminaries lite in honor of, or in memory of, people who have had to deal with cancer. It was a heartfelt event. Beautiful at night with the luminaries glowing all along the path around the field. We started early in the morning driving to Hayward to pick up my mother. She is a 30 year survivor of cancer and I wanted her to be there for the Survivor's Walk, one lap, at 10:00 am. She is 84 year old and walked the entire lap with my grandson, her great grandson. She was so proud to be there. They gave each survivor a medal and a goody bag. She loved it!
