Solar System Lessons

We have been very busy writing our Solar System lessons. The first two are pretty much done. They are introductions to the Solar System, what it is, how it moves, and how big everything really is. The third lesson is well on its way. It is all about the ice in the Solar System. Ice is pretty interesting stuff. We weren't quite sure what we could do with ice but, it turns out to be quite interesting. And, of course, where there is ice, there could be water. And, where there is water, there could be life! That's the big deal!

We have a major edit meeting next Saturday. I will see how the upper grade lessons are going and get feedback on our primary grade lessons. More to come then.

I am a second grade teacher who also writes Space Science Curriculum for NASA. I am interested in hearing from other teachers who love Space Science and want to teach more science in their classrooms.
