Work begins tomorrow!

Summer break is over! Tomorrow I start back to work. Two days of meetings. Talk about your dream come true. Sitting and listening for two days. The problem is our principal decides what we learn. To date, that hasn't been very helpful. Maybe I am just too pessimistic. I doubt it.

Today I worked with Ruth and Blanche on our solar system lessons. We are ready to put our first lesson on paper. We have made the models, tested the lesson with real children, written the leveled reader, and spoken to scientists. We are ready!

We also were taken into a clean room today to see where the stuff collected from the tail of a comet and also steller dust particals are kept and studied. It was very exciting. Blanche and I also held small pieces of Aerogel. It was pretty cool! We saw some Aerogel that had travel millions of miles into space and back. I feel so lucky to see all the things that I have seen in my work with NASA. It is truly a pleasure to work for them.

Off to sleep for the big day tomorrow!!
